*Frédéric Fleury is a French artist, born in 1973 in Cherbourg. His work is based on drawing and publishing. A multi-talented author, straddling contemporary art, comics, and illustration, he is at the head of a research project that attempts to avoid the trap of a repetitive and easily recognizable line. For more than twenty years, he has created series of drawings that he compulsively publishes himself in the form of books or fanzines. He is one of the founders of Éditions du 57 and Frédéric Magazine, an eponymous artist collective and website dedicated to the Magazine collective and various organizations such as Pictoplasma, Picturebox Inc., Jalouse, and Vice Magazine. A professor of drawing and publishing at an art school, he is represented abroad by the Cinders Gallery in Brooklyn.
